...suck and its okay!
Ive been thinking of what i want to post today. And i have a few other blogs in mind. But I guess what i want to do is a write a letter to me. A letter my older self. Like a this is where i am now letter. I feel like Brad Paisley....
So... here goes....
Oh hey!
This is awkward but that's okay. We are pretty awkward most of the time. Its what makes us adorable. This isn't going to be much of a letter but more of a words of advise from me to me at the ripe old age of 26. We have lived somethings that other people couldn't imagine. We have experienced loss, love, let down, parenthood and a host of other things. Its crazy to sit here now and think of the think i want you to remember when you look back at this, but here's the most important thing. Are you ready?
People suck, and its okay. They are going to hurt your feelings. They are going to make you laugh. Some of them will use you, and you may use some of them. But keep it real with them, Remind them where their place in your life is when you need to but always remember the proper place and time. You're going to make friends and lose friends, and some of them will be dicks to you without you having any idea why. Its okay, they have their reasons and honestly. Fuck'em, if that's how they want to be. It shows more about their character than it does yours. make sure you keep making time to date your husband. And keep that baby happy. Hes the center of our world, i think that's why we are writing this letter right now, this is everything i want to tell Magoo one day. You have the few true from high school , that actually stuck around. They are all getting married and it's wonderful your circle is growing embrace it all. Remember to make time for them even if its only a quick text saying hello. You'll realize how important it is to have the closeness of friends one day.
Remember to give everyone a chance. You don't know their story. Keep loving with all of your heart. Never ever let anyone make you feel inferior without your consent. And remember to not get eaten by a shark, you promised. Keep the closeness of family dear to your heart always. You were blessed with a big family, and it has grown since getting married remember to welcome all new members with open arms, they might not be blood but their yours now. Keep telling your self this too shall pass, and stop sweating the small stuff. There's a bigger picture you just have to take the time to notice it. Life's scary right now, its okay. The unknown is scary. You have that support you need. Embrace it.
Don't dwell, move on stop holding grudges. Again those people aren't worth it. If they love you today, they will love you 10 years form now, for different reasons. But in the end we are all getting out the same way. Stop worrying about who does what and embrace everyday like it is your last. laugh a little louder and love a lot stronger. You will love yourself more for it.
Be the wonderful, crazy, loud, a little strange and awkward person you have always been.
Keep kickin' ass, you're doing a great job so far.
Until next time....

Motherhood is...
...fishing your kids shit out of the tub.
Tonight was bath night. I attempt every other night with Magoo. He loved the bath, it was his favorite. Now? nope not going to happen. He starts to scream before i even get his clothes off. This is a new development. I think i figured it out though. A few weeks back while the tub was filling up he pulled the tab and on came the shower. Oh no no no no no, Magoo was not having that.
Tonight I tried a different tactic. Instead of running the water with him in the room, I started the water before he got in the tub, Well that worked, sorta. Once I got the water where it should be not too hot, not too cold. Just enough in the tub. now came the hard part. I had to undress the magoo, and then get him in the tub.
So I tried it slowly, I sat him on the side of the tub and wet his feet with the cup for a while. Then it was time to go. And he was not happy. He cried and told me ALL DONE. There is a video, I sent it to Nikki, it was so pathetic it was adorable. We had some cheering, and dancing and singing. and I was able to get him in the tub. It was great! Then he did it, there was a grunt, and floaters. Yep he took a shit right in the tub.*sigh* Now comes the fun part....
Of course I fished out the poo, Welcome to Motherhood, and you thought it was just diapers, vomit, and kisses. Boy were you wrong! This has happened twice at this point, which is no big deal. But this means I need to add more water. So we drain the tub and start the singing, cheering and dancing again. This worked through tears and screaming and more ALL DONE. But alas, Mommy won. Magoo got a bath, splashed, laughed, and had fun.

And as much as I hate to see my son cry, especially when it comes to his bath. I am that much happier that we were able to get him through the hard part... tonight at least.
Tomorrow may be a different story. Only Time will tell.
As always, until next time....

November means....
...Sharing what you are thankful for.
In all actuality we should remind everyone what we are thankful for all the time. But november having thanksgiving makes everyone a little more thankful.
I am going to try to post a thankful blog more than just in november. But lets be honest, that might not happen. You've all gathered that by now, huh?
Tonight, right now I am so thankful for my mom. We don't see eye to eye ALL the time. That is common with mothers and daughters. But next to my husband my mom is my best friend. I tell her everything, and once a day I say or do something that confirms it. I am just like my mom.
My mom ha shown me what it means to be a great mother. I am learning from the best! There is nothing better than knowing you have people in your corner at all times. I now as a mom understand the depth you can have for someone. I tell her all the time. I hope I'm half the mom you are. growing up we wanted for nothing. Mom always found a way to keep us happy. Granted it was in the 90's so having the latest ipad was not even a option. But mom showed us what family is about and what it means to put your kids first.
I know i do things to drive her absolutely insane, and vice versa. But that's how we work.
I couldn't imagine a better person to look up to and idealize. I hope I make her proud every day.
