Wedding Wednesday!!!

Oh Em Gee! (yeah that just happened) Its bee wa-hayyyy too long since I have posted anything let alone a Wedding Wednesday bloggity blog!I have a feeling today is going to be a two-fer. Since I haven't blogged in oh...hmm...lets see about a month and a half. Ha I'm so slacking its not even funny. I will go into more detail in my next blog but we will start with none other than....

"Why don't we just elope?" Don't think for a second that thought hasn't crossed our minds. Mr B actually said to me " It would make more sense to just do a court house special, and then when we can afford it have our wedding" and I Actually thought "That's not a bad idea." But almost instantlly as I got really sad, Like deep in my heart sad. I mean come on every girl is programmed from birth to think about their wedding day.

Princess Ariel Married Prince Eric...
Cinderella Married Price Charming

Every little girl wants to feel like a Princess marrying their Prince. I've always imagined my wedding day. And I'm talkin' the whole 9! White dress, flower girl, the reception and then leaving with my husband to start our life as husband an wife. Now don't get me wrong, I know people that have gotten married at the court house, Vegas  churches and on the beach. And I'm not saying that if we did a court house special wedding that we wouldn't have all those things that I envisioned for my wedding...one day... But I just don't think it would feel right. To me if you elope or get married at the court house. You are doing it that way for a reason. Not only because your too stinkin' impatient like I am!

There are A TON of times, last weekend even I said to Mr B "lets just go get married it would make this process so much faster".  But then I get that sting of "but I want a wedding...". I am so excited to plan this wedding. I mean we already have a lot planned out. I mean the little things that we need to figure out like colors, flowers, reception ideas, a DJ that we want to use, the place we wanna use, the photographer. We have made all those decisions. But the real planning when we get closer to the date and when we make all the phone calls and put the deposits down and all that good stuff. I absolutely can not wait for that! I mean I get all excited like super dooper excited!

Its just funny how something like a wedding can evoke all different emotions, I mean its scary, exciting, nerve wracking and fun all at the same time. How is that even possible? I don't know. I mean we aren't in a race here for how soon we get married. I would rather it be sooner rather than later but I mean we aren't millionaires, we have to save for our wedding. So here is my introduction back to Wedding Wednesday... A long deep heartfelt blog about how I feel when it comes to having an actual wedding.

Off to get started on a special craft (blog to follow sometime soon)

How many times?

Hey guys and girls,

So I was sitting in the break room at my new job today and I was thinking about what book I wanna read off my kindle. And the first one that popped to mind was 50 Shades of Grey. I have to admit. I have already read the series twice. And just to be clear before we go any further. It is not for the crazy monkey sex those two have. I swear! Girl Scouts honor! Okay I was never a Girl Scout, but I'm being completely honest when I say I really like reading the love story. Both times I read the series I was able to get lost in it. I could imagine Christina and Ana and see what was happening. I have gone through and read most of the books on my kindle, there are a few that I still have to read, and or finish that I have abandoned to read something else( Ha!)

The most recent books I have read are:

1.) 50 Shades Trilogy *x2*
2.) The Job Offer (Just started reading it)
3.) Imperfect Justice, Prosecuting Casey Anthony( still working on it)
4.) The Pact- Really Good
5.) Friends Forever- also really good

There are still some others in there that I read and cant remember the name, I mean I have read books in a day lately thanks to the kindle.

So how many times have you read a book, kindle or paper book. I have others that I have read several times. Leave me some comments on how many times you have read and reread and rereread (Yes its a word, well at least now it is)

Off to get lost in a book

Wedding Wednesday!

Hey Ladies and Gents,

I know I was MIA last week but the only thing I can say is that what I was doing was very important (to my tan)!

That being said lets get going on Wedding Wednesday!

Lets start off with the first major positive that happened and what will help get this wedding goin, I got the new job! Making pretty decent money starting out so that will def help as far as saving money is concerned.

This bloggiy-blog entry will be more focused on Engagement pictures and when they should be done...

We've been engaged for a whole 3 months now and I dont know when we should get the pictures done, OH and there is another thing. The Photographer we want has a deal get an e-session with her and get a bunch of other stuff which is totally awesome. That being said I dont wanna use 2 different photographers, thats where the OCD comes into effect. I want the E-session pics and the wedding pics to have the same feel, how do you do that, use the same pohotgrapher. The one one we REALLY like and are gonna go with is Chrissy K, (http://chrissykphotography.com/) She shot my cousins wedding, and a few other people I know she also did their weddings. Mr.B and I have looked over her website as well as others and she is the one we like best.

That being said I cant wait to have pictures where I am "forced" to kiss on my fiance, and hold his hand and have someone take pictures of us in love... ( dawww)

Here are some examples of the e-session ideas I like!

(I DO NO OWN THESE PHOTOS, THEY WERE FOUND ON PINTERSET)

What ideas do you have for e-sessions and when should you do them... before the wedding obviously but how soon is too soon?

Let me know!! Leave some comments!

Here is the pic from the night we got engaged!

Off to get some work done!

Wedding Wednesday

If you've looked at the calendar today you know its Wedding Wednesday! Although this entry isn't gonna be about wedding plans, (boo!) I know. But its gonna be more of a question blog that I over analyze as usual...

Here's a hint of what the subject is...

How soon is too soon to make it official with your bridesmaids and groomsmen (or our sidekicks as we are gonna call them!) I mean we aren't getting married until October 2015/2016. I have mentioned it to all of my bridesmaid's EXCEPT for my Maid of Honor( heh heh heh Sneaky) I don't remember if I told you all I was going to make them all an official " Be my Bridesmaid" Gift. Nikki knows about the gift because shes the only one that I see regularly. However she doesn't know exactly what is gonna be in it.

Mr. B hasn't asked his guys yet. which is cool I get it I mean we aren't getting married for at least 2 years. Throughout conversations in the past it has come up the whole "well you'll be in the wedding" and he hasn't added anyone else THANK GOD! I know there is no rush, but I am so impatient!!!!!

Should I wait until the end of 2014/2015 closer the the one year away mark?

Let me know what you think!

Wedding Wednesday!

So If its not obvious and I'm sure it HAS to be, Its WEDDING WEDNESDAY! Seeing that since last week we haven't really done much for the wedding besides look at a few places online and have settled on our top three that we want to go visit and see which one we fall in love with for our wedding day.. They are

  1. Morris Arboretum (close to chestnut hill college in Philadelphia, PA* top* )
  2. Top of the Tower (Center City, Philly *right*)
  3. Valley Forge PA (Its a national park, kind of a big deal *bottom* )
That is pretty much all we've done for our wedding planning as of the last week. They are our top 3 we just have to go and see which one we really love and isn't gonna break the bank and that is reasonably priced.

So that being said I wanna talk to all the ladies out there wondering WHY didn't he propose yet? And the ones that get mad when they go to a nice restaurant and see another couple get engaged and it doesn't happen AGAIN...

It took Mr B 6 years to realize that I was the love of his life. Yes 6! I'm talking half of high school (junior and senior year) The first year and a half of college AND me moving 1000 miles back to Philly. Yeah talk about anticipation! I will say though that when we went to New York(after high school, some of college and me moving back to Philly) He knew RIGHT HERE...

...That he was in love with me...(I still get butterflies when I think about that day)

So lets see we met in 2005, I moved to Philly in 2010, Went to New York in 2011, Moved in together in 2012 and got engaged in 2013... I say the wedding in 2015 would be perfect. 10 years later we are married. Talk about full circle...Again 2015 depending on if I get this new job (Fingers crossed and prayers totally accepted) and learn how to SAVE money.. ha!

Basically what I'm trying to say is, that it will happen when you lease expect it. You don't have to have a elaborate engagement. We had a nice quiet perfect for B and I engagement. That's what its about. You and your man. Don't worry if you go to a 5 start restaurant or under the Eiffel Tower in Paris and he doesn't propose. He could be waiting until you run out for burgers and look a mess in sweats and your hair tied up. because that's who he loves. The you he see at home, the you that no one else gets to see besides him.

And from one "newly" engaged lady to another when he does pop the question, ENJOY IT! There are few times you will see the love of your life so vulnerable.  You hold his happiness and future happiness in your hands.  Soak in everything he says to you, and save it to the internal hard drive. Its one of the best moments of your life!

I thought I'd leave you with the picture from the night we got engaged.. I edited it with an appropriate (I think at least) quote

Now its time to get some non wedding related work done!

50 Shades of no sleep!

I've done it.

I cracked and read the first of the 50 Shades trilogy and when I say I read it, I mean cover to cover in about 11 hours... WHO DOES THINGS LIKE THAT?

  • Especially on a Sunday night!
  • Especially when you have to function for the rest of the week and no sleep on one day just throws off the interviews you have on Tuesday because you're so tried its hard to open your eyes after getting the recommended 8 hours.

Plus side I read it on my kindle app on my computer so the words were REALLY big.. Which comes in handy when you need to wear glasses to make the words bigger anyway... Anyway, I wanted to post something to start the week and I couldn't think of anything else besides the fact that I have caved in and started reading 50 shades trilogy. Almost half way through the second one... and I'm diggin it as much as the first.

Off to escape to the world of Christian Grey...

Wedding Wednesday... on thursday??

Hello Ladies (and gentlemen)!

Sorry Gents this one is geared towards the ladies--

Let me start this whole thing by saying this is the most fun I have had getting things ready for my wedding, everyone says planning is fun but I never thought it would be as much fun as it is, However we haven't even gotten into serious planning yet... Mkay! Moving on...

I decided I wanted to do a weekly must post blog entry... and that is Wedding Wednesday (even though today is Thursday... deal with it ;) )! We aren't planning on getting married for at least 2 years give or take depending on a few things. So I thought it would be a good place to just talk about WEDDINGS. What lady doesn't enjoy talking about and obsessing over weddings? That's right ALMOST every girl I know will talk about weddings.

Weddings are fun that's why!

So I decided to start the first Wedding Wednesday on Thursday with the start of my wedding planning binder! It absolutely is a work in progress. There are things that I need to print out, and I want to get some more fun girly things to write and fill out the sheets with.. but here is what we have so far
You are being warned NOW, there are a good handful of pictures!

I still have some work to do on the binder itself- I am going to print something out for the front of the binder. But we have to setup the printer and that is a task. ha!

Pictures: starting from big and then going right to left
1.) The binder- before I personalize it
2.) 2'' binder
3.) Inside- Three hole punch, and dividers
4.) The dividers are all pretty and girly
5.) Space for notes
6.) Pockets to hold any receipts, cards, memos that kind of stuff

In the binder I have:

Our book for registering (had to talk Mr. B out of registering too early. Yes ladies I have that groom that is INTO planning the wedding.. what!!)

Tons and I mean TONS of wedding invitation samples... ( I have decided to make our invitations and save the dates. but free samples are always fun right!)

inviations from: www.minted.com  www.exclusivelyweddings.com www.weddingpaperdivas.com

So, that is all we have so far, I also have a spread sheet from excel, and TONS of pins on Pinterest (follow me )! Welp I guess that will do it for Wedding Wednesday on Thursday! I cant wait to have more to post!

Off to scan Pinterest and the internet for Wedding inspiration!
